Really AWESOME interview on Matter of Life and Debt Eli!! If we can keep drawing out the predatory structures of debt, like the SLABS more people will see how exploitative these loans truly are. Maurizio Lazzarato writes extensively on the neoliberalization of US higher ed and the manipulation of subjectivity by the creditor/debtor relationship. To consider that 33% of the Governments held assets are student loans is a reality that must be navigated as we seek to eliminate all future debts. I'm wondering how much of the Govt's assets are transferred to private interests every year? They are basically holding our futures hostage to finance private profits! Anyways, thanks for everything and glad to be on Strike with you 🙂 With care, Tiffany (Bay Area Debtors Union)
Is it just me or is Eli Campbell angry all the time. Must suck being near him admin edit: haha this is really funny to me. thanks for a giggle
Arielle Gray's article (HuffPost) should be read. She exposed how the NDSL/DoEdu will threaten and coerce students to sign a form, which will erase any clearance they formerly were granted, exonerating their loan debt. I can verify her claims, because they tried to scare me into signing the form. I refused.
I really need help with my Debts. Do you know how I could get help. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME
This worse thing I ever did as a first generation college student was ever signing a student loan paper. I support a Debt Revolution.
Eli- I’ve been thinking of this since I was in Grad School. I even wrote a song about it. My thoughts exactly- we have to do something.
